We consider ourselves New Zealand’s leading native recovery timber experts specialising in river salvaged timber and forest bed recovered timbers including Tōtara.
Exclusive to The New Zealand Natural timber Co, we have salvaged Tōtara sourced from forest beds of exotic Radiata plantations where native forests were felled in the 1800’s and river salvaged timbers that have been beautifully preserved under layers of silt and minimal exposure to Oxygen.
An extremely labour intensive process salvaging timber results in stunning quality heart grade Tōtara and other grades which can be specified for internal and external application due to the fact Totara is highly durable.
